At Seven Angels Care and Support Services, our Life Skills Training and Development program is designed to help you build the skills you need to live with confidence, independence, and purpose.
We support you in working towards personal goals that improve your day-to-day living—whether it’s learning to manage tasks at home, communicate more effectively, or navigate the community on your own.
Why Is Life Skills Training Important?
Developing life skills helps you:
• Become more independent in your daily life
• Grow your confidence and decision-making abilities
• Handle everyday challenges with ease
• Improve your overall wellbeing
If you have higher support needs, we can also help explore Supported Independent Living (SIL) options.
What Can Life Skills Training Help With?
Our experienced NDIS Support Workers can assist you in building skills such as:
• Personal hygiene and grooming
• Communication and social interaction
• Using public transport
• Making everyday decisions
• Household tasks like cooking, cleaning, and laundry
• Shopping and planning healthy meals
• Self-advocacy and contacting support services
• Managing emotions and stressful situations
These activities are tailored to your individual needs and preferences.
How to Access This Support
You may be eligible if your NDIS plan includes Capacity Building – Increased Social and Community Participation funding.
To access this support:
• Speak with your Support Coordinator or Plan Manager
• Contact your Local Area Coordinator (LAC) if you’re unsure about your plan
• Or call the NDIS directly on 1800 800 110
